Queen Latifah is more comfortable with her “sexuality.”

It is widely speculated that Queen Latifah has been a lesbian for as long as I’ve been alive (and possibly longer). Although she refuses repeatedly to comment on it, I don’t recall her ever being linked to a guy…so we’re assuming that she is. Comments to Ebony magazine have been evasive. Comments to People last year have been the same “My private life is my private life. Whomever I might be with, I don’t feel the need to share it. I don’t think I ever will.” She also said later in that interview that she was feeling more comfortable with her “sexuality.” Usually, heteros just don’t say these things.
She lives in the world that some label with “multiple discrimination” an african-american woman who is also gay, who produces the types of music that often encourages a closeted lifestyle. Folksinging, Melissa Etheridge music, etc..are areas audiences are far more willing to accept a woman with a disposition toward the “fairer sex.”
Anyway, to those still living in the closet because of circumstances, difficulties or discrimination…it’s not easy, and we hope you find your way to whatever end makes you happiest.
Here’s a pic of Queen Latifah, and the woman she has been consistently linked to…her personal trainer, Jeanette Jenkins:

Of course she’s a lesbian, and has been one for a very long time.I don’t blame her for not coming out, she has too much to lose.

I wonder how “U-N-I-T-Y” would sound if you substituted “I-A-M-G-A-Y”.

Yes she is very gay and has been forever. I don’t agree with the whole staying in the closet thing. What does she possibly have to lose. Everyone in the world seems to be aware of her gayness except for her. It is 2008, can we please let go of the closets already!!!

……so what if she keeps it up the staying in the closet thing!!!!!!!! leave the woman alone, it is her d… business to keep her love life to herself. especially being an Afro-American woman in the public of famous whatever. I am also an AA woman, I live in Europe and was often insulted (to me this is an insult) by gay men (the real queens, ) that I was a transsexual. Well what does Sophia Loren look like???
