According to Get Outdoors, the Swiss-Italian ski resort, Airolo, ran this wildly successful ad campaign but decided to pull it because it was a little too successful and the town didn’t want to attract too many gay folks.
This pulling of the ad worked brilliantly, since I have no clue where the hell this town is, or what kind of skiing is to be found there.
I’m not posting the video on this one, but Rachel Maddow looked surprisingly herself during an interview with Jay Leno this past weekend…and I think I’ve discovered her secret. Usually when we see her on TV, she’s slathered with makeup, they do dumb things with her hair and her style is…well…a little boring. It’s all a disguise my friends….
I’m not saying that she was any better in this forum - but she gave herself away. She’s really Harry Potter - no wonder she’s so darn smart.
Recently married Ellen Degeneres really scored. Here’s a picture of Portia Degeneres arriving in Los Angeles Airport in her “casual clothes”…the outfit isn’t my style, but somehow, she still looks hot.

I like a joke as much as the next gal, but someone should tell Sandra Bernhard that jokes about “gang rape,” aren’t funny. The story ran in Usmagazine.com that she made a crack at a benefit for women in a shelter about gang rape and Sarah Palin. I don’t care who it’s about, but you have to realize that likely many of the women at the shelter have been the victims of violence. That really sucks.
If she wants some material, she should talk more about those allegations made about her sleeping with Madonna…(even if they weren’t true according to starpulse). THAT, would be cool. Especially since Madonna has morphed into a total She-Ra.

Suze Orman, the financial wonder who has her own media empire it seems, came out to the Feb 2007 issue of New York Magazine, saying she had been with her partner Kathy for 7 years. It’s a great thing for us…since, you know, it adds to the scorecard.
However, recently, Suze is set to star in a whole line of those “Got Milk?” commercials, making me think oddly perverse thoughts. If I didn’t know better, I wouldn’t say that was a milk mustache…know what I mean?
Page Six reports that Samantha Ronson was offered to DJ at one of New York’s oldest lesbian bars, Rubyfruit. According to them, she turned it down - not because of their price, the offer or any of that, but the bar owner said when her agent was
“ informed it was a gay and lesbian bar, we were told she doesn’t do those kind of venues. She doesn’t do gay and lesbian bars and clubs. I thought it was kind of strange considering she’s a lesbian. It would have been really great to have her in there and help . . . It’s really like betraying her sisters. It just doesn’t make sense.”

I think if she didn’t want to do the gig, a better explanation might have been, “I’m too busy hittin’ that Lohan chick.” Lesbians everywhere would have been like “oh, okay, no problem…give us a call when you’re ready to surface.”
To be fair, Ronson’s people deny she ever received such a request.
According to the Star, Portia De Rossi intends to become Portia Degeneres quite soon by changing her name. The couple reportedly also used stationary labeled “Mrs. and Mrs. Degeneres” to send out thank you notes to wedding guests.
The whole issue of changing your name has been a controversial one for many feminists. Does it denote property? Ownership? A unified family name? In this case, maybe it’s technically a whole new ball of wax, because it’s two women?
Rather than get into the whole debate, which takes thought and way too much time, just look at it this way…now, we can see it as not an issue of property, but who you’re banging….and Ellen’s got her mark on one hot chick.
Starting January of 2009, Ellen Degeneres will be the new face of Covergirl cosmetics…you know, because she is so the make-up type of chick.
Cheers to her, for representing the average woman on a campaign that usually doesn’t interest me at all.
